About the event
“Eldritch: The Confessions of Cthulhu” is a two-person parody musical based on H. P. Lovecraft’s horror classic “The Call of Cthulhu”. In this funny, heartfelt retelling, misunderstood eldritch horror Cthulhu dons a hilariously obvious disguise, poses as a solicitor, and tries to convince the audience and a suspicious Inspector Legrasse that he is far from the monster the world believes him to be. This small-scale musical falls under the nowadays popular ‘villain-was-actually-a-good-guy’ genre of retellings, such as Broadway’s “Wicked”, Disney’s “Maleficent”, Starkid’s “Twisted” and Fat Rascal Theatre’s “Unfortunate”.
